World Cup coming up again next year. Already excited, it's going to be the second last world cup with 32 teams in it. After that they're upgrading it, though stupidly it's barely going to affect Europe's qualification spots. Teams qualified so far:
Definitely a couple of surprises especially regarding teams not competing. the Netherlands, United States, Ghana, Cameroon. Those are teams you'd usually expect to make it. But also 2 teams making their first ever world cup appearance: Panama and Iceland. So far Germany, Brazil and France are looking like the most solid teams. They're having the best chance I think. Also very impressed with Poland, I'm expecting much from them this World Cup. Edited by Ginyu, Nov 16 2017, 12:05 PM.

Disappointed that Wales didn't make it through. I hope England make good use of their strong attack. Harry Kane's time to shine. I also hope we don't get too much hooliganism and provocation from Russian fans. Plus I want to see some solid refereeing. |

Wales was in a though group though. Serbia, Ireland and Austria were all real contenders as well. England's looking pretty good. guys like Kane, Alli and Walker are looking better than ever. Doubt they'll past the quarter finals or semis, but anything better than 2010. |

I'd be surprised if we made it out of the quarters. I wouldn't even be shocked if we were knocked out in the last 16. We're not good and had the luxury of an easy qualifying group, which we always seem to get. That might be the disappointment from the last two tournaments speaking though. I'll be watching Argentina closely. This is likely Messi's last World Cup at the peak of his powers. Argentina don't look too strong based on their struggles qualifying, but this will be Messi's last chance at lifting the Jules Rimet. I'll be rooting for him (outside of England of course, but I'm not kidding myself there). |

Really? I thought that there was a heated rivalry between Brazil and Argentina. |

To be fair I'd consider rooting for Germany this year. But that's only because the Netherlands haven't qualified. I'll probably root for Belgium or Italy. Maybe one of the Irelands if they make it. |

I hope Belgium goes far, proving that they don't even need a coach. Bobby Martinez is a horrible manager in all regards and has no business being coach for one of the most talented national sides in the world atm. |

1958 was the last time Italy weren't at a World Cup. Pretty massive news that they aren't gonna be at the next one. |

If we can't finish ahead of Panama and Tunisia then something is terribly wrong with English football. I'll just post the groups here:: Group A Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Uruguay Group B Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Iran Group C France, Australia, Peru, Denmark Group D Argentina, Iceland, Croatia, Nigeria Group E Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia Group F Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea Group G Belgium, Panama, Tunisia, England Group H Poland, Senegal, Colombia, Japan Honestly, there's no really exciting groups there for me. I don't think there's a 'Group of Death' this year, unless you count H because all four are pretty evenly matched. Still, the World Cup never fails to produce great games so looking forward to it as always. |
